"Could-Be Bojangles" Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. confectioners sugar
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 stick butter, melted
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients, blending well.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Dough will be sticky.
    Knead lightly 4 to 5 times; then roll out to 1/2-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
    Cut into biscuits.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    Brush tops with melted butter.
