Scalloped Potatoes And Ham - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes, pared, sliced and cooked until tender (reserve 1 c. cooking liquid)
3 Tbsp. melted margarine, divided
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
2 c. cubed, cooked ham
4 slices American cheese
1 medium onion, cut into rings
Preparation

Place cooked potatoes in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
Toss 1 tablespoon margarine with bread crumbs, paprika and thyme; set aside.
Blend flour, mustard and pepper into 2 tablespoons margarine.
Add reserved potato water and milk.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in ham and cut up cheese.
Cook until cheese is melted.
Place onion rings over potatoes.
Pour sauce over onions and potatoes.
Sprinkle with crumbs.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
