Sweet Potato Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. water
    1 lb. apples
    1 c. apple juice
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. honey
    1/3 c. wheat germ (for topping)
Preparation
    Steam the sweet potatoes in 1/2 cup water, 15 to 20 minutes until tender.
    Peel and slice lengthwise in 1/2-inch slices. Layer in casserole.
    Peel and core apples. Slice 1/2-inch thick and lay on top of the sweet potatoes.
    Heat juice to a boil. Combine cornstarch and water.
    Add to juice.
    Cook until clear and thickened.
    Add honey.
    Pour sauce over apples and top with 1/3 cup wheat germ. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until apples are done.
