English Scones - cooking recipe

6 c. self-rising flour
4 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. raisins
3 eggs
1/2 c. regular milk
Preparation

Set oven at 400\u00b0. Sieve the flour. Cut the fat into pieces; add to the flour and rub in with fingertips until it looks like breadcrumbs. Add raisins and sugar and mix well. Mix the eggs and milk together in a measuring cup or anything. Using a wooden spoon, add the egg mixture gradually as you mix quickly by cutting through the dough and up from the sides; do not beat or overmix. Mix to a sticky consistency and not too wet. Add a little milk if needed. Better too stiff than wet!!
