Downy Cushion Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. yeast, softened in water
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
6 c. sifted plain flour
1/2 c. melted shortening
Preparation
-
Scald milk; add sugar, salt and soft yeast.
Cool until lukewarm.
Add 2 cups flour.
Mix in eggs.
Beat until smooth. Add remaining flour.
Let rise to double in size.
Stir down; let rise.
Roll out on board.
Cut into rolls.
Let rise.
Bake in hot oven.
