Butterscotch-Oatmeal Drop Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter, adds flavor)
    3/4 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. butterscotch chips
    3/4 c. nuts, chopped
    2 c. oatmeal
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugars.
    Add egg and water. Sift flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in vanilla, butterscotch chips, nuts and oatmeal.
    Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 6 to 7 dozen.
