Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3 large eggs
2 Tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. quick-cooking oats (uncooked)
2 c. cornflake cereal
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Stir in water and vanilla. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture, mixing well.
Stir in oats and remaining ingredients.
Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
Yield:
8 dozen.
