South Of The Border Special - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
    1 c. shredded lettuce
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
    2 medium tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 (1 lb.) pkg. plain or nacho tortilla chips, coarsely crushed
    1/4 c. chopped, pitted ripe olives
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1/4 c. sliced green onions
Preparation
    In skillet, brown beef, onion and garlic.
    Drain off fat. Stir in water, tomato sauce, chili powder and oregano.
    Pour half the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Top with half the beans and half the chips.
    Repeat layering.
    Cover and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until heated.
    Top with remaining ingredients.
    Serves 8 to 10.
