Black Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. black dry beans
    1 large (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes, crushed
    2 c. rice
    salt and pepper to taste
    garlic powder to taste
    1 large onion
Preparation
    Soak and cook beans as directed on package.
    When beans are done, add tomatoes.
    Saute onion.
    Add to beans and tomatoes.
    Add rice to it (rice has to be cooked).
    Salt and pepper to taste. Add garlic powder to taste.
    Simmer on low for about 30 minutes.
