Batter Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 (3 1/2 to 4 lb.) broiler, cut up
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. milk
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well.
    Dip chicken pieces into batter.
    Heat 1-inch of oil in a large skillet to 375\u00b0; add chicken and brown quickly on all sides.
    Reduce heat; cover and fry 25 minutes or until chicken is tender and golden brown, turning occasionally.
    Drain well on paper towels.
    Yield:
    4 servings.
