Chocolate Covered Coconut Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. coconut
1/4 c. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 c. sweetened condensed milk
9 oz. semi-sweet chocolate squares
2 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

In a medium bowl beat softened butter and powdered sugar together until well mixed, add milk and mix.
Stir in the coconut. Mix well.
Roll into 1-inch balls and refrigerate until set. Melt chocolate and shortening over a double boiler, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat when melted and stir to make sure the shortening is fully incorporated.
Use toothpicks to hold the balls while dipping in the chocolate.
Set on wax paper to dry.
