Ingredients

2 qt. elderberries, crushed
6 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation

Combine berries, sugar and vinegar in a large pot.
Bring slowly to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Cook rapidly until thick, stirring frequently.
Pour into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headroom; seal.
Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
Makes about 3 pints.
