Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. round steak or cube steak
    pepper
    flour
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 can water
Preparation
    Cut steak into serving pieces.
    Pepper to taste and roll in flour.
    Sear on both sides in hot fry pan with just enough shortening to prevent sticking.
    Remove and place in covered roaster or deep pan.
    Pour soup and water over meat and simmer at 275\u00b0 for 45 minutes in oven.
