Dilly Casserole Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 c. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 to 3 tsp. instant minced onion
2 tsp. dill seed
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. (8 oz.) cream-style cottage cheese
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. oleo
1 egg
butter or oleo, softened
coarse salt if desired
Preparation

Lightly
spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
In large bowl,
combine
1
cup
flour, sugar, onion, dill seed, salt, soda
and dry yeast.
In saucepan, heat cottage cheese, water
and 1\ttablespoon oleo until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0). Add
warm liquid and egg to flour mixture.
Blend at low speed until moistened;\tbeat
3 minutes longer at medium speed.
By hand, stir
in remaining 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups flour to form a stiff batter.
Cover;
let rise in warm place until doubled in size. Stir
dough down.
Turn into well-greased (not oiled) 1 1/2
to 2-quart
casserole.
Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled
in
size.\tHeat
oven
to 350\u00b0.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes until
golden
brown.
Remove
from casserole;
brush with\tbutter while
warm
and
sprinkle
with
coarse salt if desired.
