Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    3 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. nuts
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Place butter, chocolate, vanilla and nuts into a large bowl. In a large saucepan, place sugar and evaporated milk; bring to a full rolling boil and continue to boil for 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from stove and pour over chocolate mixture. Stir until margarine and chocolate dissolve, then pour into a large greased platter or pan.
    Set aside or put in refrigerator until firm enough to cut into small squares.
    Makes 5 pounds.
