Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    6 c. apples, peeled and chopped
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in nuts and apples.
    Spread into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
    Top with 1 tablespoon whipped topping.
    Yield:
    15 servings.
    Carbohydrate 64 g, protein 5 g, fat 13 g, calories 393.
    One serving = 2 bread exchange, 3 fruit exchange, 2 1/2 fat exchange.
