German Chocolate Pie(In Honor Of Ralph Wilfong) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large box chocolate pudding mix (5 1/8 oz. box)
    1 box coconut-pecan frosting mix (9.9 oz. box)
    3 c. milk
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation
    Over medium heat, prepare the chocolate pudding mix according to directions on the package box.
    When nearly thickened, pour in the box of dry frosting mix.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Remove from stove.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    One can either prepare one's favorite meringue to top with and bake until meringue is lightly browned, or one can serve with a spoon of whipped cream on each slice of pie.
    I prefer either sweetened whipped cream, Cool Whip or Reddi-Wip, to a topping of meringue.
