Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    3/4 lb. seedless raisins
    6 slices pineapple
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
    1 lb. candied cherries
    7 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, beating well after each addition.
    Mix 2 1/2 cups flour, cinnamon and soda together.
    Add to mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Mix 1/2 cup flour with the fruit and nuts.
    Add to the batter.
    Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in slow 275\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
