Beets In Raisin Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can diced or sliced beets
1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. vinegar
1/2 c. seedless white raisins
Preparation

Drain beets and pineapple, reserving juices.
Put beets and pineapple in separate bowls; set aside.
Combine butter, sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan.
Gradually stir vinegar and reserved juices into saucepan mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Add raisins and pineapple.
Pour over beets. You may let stand for several hours for flavors to blend.
You can serve cold or heat before serving.
