8 Hour Tossed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce, torn
    1 (16 oz.) can green tiny peas, drained
    4 sticks celery, chopped fine
    4 green onions, sliced (tops too), or 1 medium onion, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
    1 1/2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise (I use light mayonnaise)
    2 Tbsp. sugar or 2 small packets Sweet 'N Low
    3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, shredded, or sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Put in order in a see through container.
    Spread mayonnaise over top to seal, then sprinkle Sweet 'N Low or sugar and cheese over top.
    Cover and let stand 8 hours or overnight.
    Toss well about 30 minutes before serving.
