Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cukes, sliced fine without peeling
    8 small onions
    3/4 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    prepared mustard
    3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix the cukes, onions and salt. Cover with cracked ice.
    Place weight on them and let stand 3 hours.
