Mayonnaise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. butter
    5 well-beaten egg yolks
    1 c. cream or Carnation milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    pinch of paprika
Preparation
    Bring vinegar and butter to a boil.
    Add well-beaten egg yolks. Add cream or milk, sugar, salt, mustard and paprika.
    Replace over low heat and stir until it bubbles; cool.
    If it curdles, beat with an eggbeater.
    Makes very good slaw dressing.
