Ingredients

3 c. flour (self-rising)
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. cooking oil
3 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 qt. figs, whole or mashed
1 1/2 c. pecans
Preparation

Sift flour, cornstarch and spices in a large mixing bowl.
Pour in buttermilk and beat well.
Stir in figs, nuts and vanilla.
Mix well.
Bake in loaf pan or Bundt pan at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
