Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. onions
    1 c. cut celery
    1/2 small head cabbage, cut up
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (48 oz.) can V-8 juice
    salt and pepper
    1 (16 oz.) bag frozen mixed vegetables
    1 small potato, cut up
    1/4 c. fine noodles
Preparation
    Cook ground beef.
    Add next 7 ingredients; cook until almost tender.
    Add frozen vegetables, potato and noodles; cook until all are tender.
    Leftover soup makes excellent Manhattan Clam Chowder by simply adding minced clams.
