Cheese Corn Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal mix
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, stir together cornmeal mix, flour and garlic powder.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese.
    Blend in enough milk to make a soft dough.
