Chicken And Wild Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box long grain and wild rice (Uncle Ben's)
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/4 c. diced green pepper
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. chopped green onions with tops
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
    2/3 c. milk
    2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    water chestnuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Cook rice according to package directions.
    Melt margarine. Add onions, celery, green pepper and mushrooms.
    Saute gently until tender.
    Mix with remaining ingredients; pour into buttered casserole.
    Garnish with slivered almonds, if desired.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
