Blackberry Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. allspice
    3 tsp. cloves
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating until no egg is seen.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add jam and buttermilk. Pour into 3 oiled and floured layer cake pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until tested done.
    Frost with caramel frosting.
