Mamma'S Red Velvet Celebration Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 1/2 oz. red food coloring
3 Tbsp. cocoa
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and flavoring well.
Make a paste of cocoa and food coloring and add to first mixture.
Add flour and buttermilk, alternating, starting and ending with flour. Mix baking soda and vinegar and add to batter, blend.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes in three 9-inch pans or two 10-inch round pans.
