Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 sticks butter
    4 c. flour (self-rising)
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, well beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. cherries
    1/2 lb. pineapple
    1 lb. nuts
Preparation
    Reserve
    1
    cup flour and sprinkle over nuts and fruit. Cream butter
    and
    sugar together.
    Add beaten eggs, then add vanilla. Gradually
    add flour.
    Add nuts, fruit and remaining flour.
    Bake in tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours (until done) with pan of water under cake.
