Pineapple Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    1 med size bottle of cherries (cut into pieces) and cherry juice
    2/3 c. white sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    2 eggs
    coconut
Preparation
    Mix together pineapple, cherries, juice, sugar, cornstarch and salt, cook until thick.
    Add beaten yolks and cook 2 minutes longer.
    Pour over crust.
    Beat egg whites and add 1/4 sugar and spread over square.
    Sprinkle with coconut.
    Brown in a 400\u00b0 oven.
