Caramel Cornflake Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. milk
    2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    4 c. cornflakes
Preparation
    Stir, melt and cook brown sugar, corn syrup, milk and butter to the soft-ball stage at 238 degrees.
    Place 4 c. of cornflakes in a large buttered mixing bowl.
    Stir in the hot syrup mixture until blended.
    Pack the flakes in a buttered 8-inch ring mold. Cool. Invert and serve with sugared or stewed fruit.
