Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/8 c. melted shortening
    1/2 egg, beaten
    2 3/4 c. sifted enriched flour
    oil
Preparation
    Warm water to lukewarm.
    Add yeast to soften.
    Scald the milk and add sugar, salt and shortening and add 1/2 of the flour and beat well.
    Add the softened yeast and egg and mix carefully. Add remaining flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
    Turn out on a lightly floured bread board and knead until it becomes satiny in appearance.
    Oil a large bowl and place dough in bowl. Cover well with waxed paper.
    Bring to room temperature.
    Shape into rolls and cover with waxed paper.
    Allow to rise until double in size.
    Cook in preheated oven at 425\u00b0 for 15 to 25 minutes.
