Ingredients

1/2 c. cut up or chopped dates
1 c. raisins
1 c. water or apple juice
1/2 c. oleo
2 eggs
3 tsp. diabetic sweetener (liquid or 5 packets Sweet 'N Low)
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Boil the first 3 ingredients together for 3 minutes (will thicken).
Let cool.
Cream oleo.
Add the next 3 ingredients; add to fruit mixture.
Sift together the flour, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Blend together and mix well.
Chill dough.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
