Vigorous Veggie Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8-inch) daikon with leaves
    1 carrot
    1 gobo (6 to 8-inch), scrubbed well
    1 round onion, remove dry outer skin
    2 green onion leaves
    1 to 2 dried mushrooms (shiitake)
Preparation
    Put all ingredients into a 2 to 4-quart pot.
    Fill with water. Bring to boil, then lower flame and simmer for 1 hour.
    (Avoid seasoning, if possible.)
    Remove all ingredients.
    (Cooked vegetables may be eaten as okazu with seasoning added as desired.) Store broth in refrigerator.
    Drink 1 cup of broth once in the morning and again at night.
    (Consume broth twice daily.)
    Continue drinking twice a day for a minimum 2-month period.
