Fruit Cocktail Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg, beaten
    1 medium can fruit cocktail
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar and soda into a bowl.
    Into this dry mixture, pour the can of fruit cocktail and mix well.
    Add the beaten egg and vanilla.
    Pour mixture into greased baking dish. Over the top, sprinkle the chopped nuts and brown sugar.
    Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    This may be fairly brown, but does not hurt the torte.
