Low-Fat Mock Boiled "Peanuts" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pinto beans
    oil
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight; parboil and pour off water.
    Place in a slow cooker.
    Cover beans with water; add oil and salt.
    Cook approximately 2 to 3 hours.
    Beans will be firm, not tender.
    Take out and salt for taste.
    If beans are tender, then you have yourself a pot of beans.
