Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2 Tbsp. melted fat
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Stir corn meal gradually into boiling water. Let cool. Beat egg yolks and stir into cornmeal with fat and buttermilk in which the soda has been dissolved. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to mixture. Pour into a greased baking dish. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
