Christmas Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cinnamon drop candy
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon jello
    1 c. applesauce
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt candy in 1 cup boiling water over low heat.
    Add jello and dissolve.
    Add applesauce.
    Pour half in rectangular pan; chill until \"wiggly.\"
    In separate container, combine remaining ingredients.
    Drop by spoonfuls and spread on set jello.
    Cover with remaining jello to make 3 layers.
    Refrigerate until set.
