Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    4 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. canning salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    onions
    cucumbers
Preparation
    Mix and dissolve.
    Slice onions to suit yourself.
    Slice cucumbers and pack in 1 gallon jar.
    Heat vinegar solution to boiling point and pour over cucumbers and onions.
    Refrigerate 24 hours before using.
    Will keep 1 year.
    Makes 1 gallon.
