Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. hot water
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sour milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt; set aside.
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Beat eggs, add to creamed mixture. Stir in flour and sour milk.
    Mix in hot water and cocoa to form a smooth paste.
    Pour this into batter and pour all into a 2-layer cake pan or an angel food cake pan.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
