Nutmeg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. soda
    2/3 c. chopped pecans
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Blend sugar, flour and shortening to a crumbly mixture.
    Put half of these crumbs into a greased 9-inch square pan.
    Stir nutmeg into remaining crumbs, then add egg.
    Stir soda into sour cream and blend into crumb mixture.
    Pour over crumb layer in pan and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
