Grandma'S Cheese Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
    1/4 c. grated American or Swiss cheese
Preparation
    Melt the butter.
    Add the flour; blend thoroughly.
    When perfectly smooth, add seasonings, then milk.
    Stir constantly over low burner until sauce boils.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add grated cheese, stirring constantly while adding.
    Suitable for fish and vegetables.
