Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    2/3 c. butter or shortening
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt brown sugar and shortening in a saucepan, then add eggs and vanilla.
    Mix all dry ingredients, then slowly add to other mixture.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with chips and nuts and bake for 30 minutes.
