Lemon Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
6 egg whites, beaten
Preparation

Combine sugar and shortening; cream well.
Sift together flour and baking powder; alternate with milk in adding to sugar and shortening mixture.
Bake in 3 cake layer pans at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until done.
