Ingredients

1 small can whole small beets
1 medium onion, sliced
6 to 8 cloves
1/3 c. white vinegar
1/3 c. sugar
salt and pepper
Preparation

Drain juice from beets.
Place in saucepan.
Add sugar and vinegar; boil vigorously.
Slice beets; add onions, cloves, salt and pepper.
Pour juice over beets and let stand.
Will keep in refrigerator for weeks.
