Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. rum flavoring
    2 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. each: candied cherries (red and green) and shredded coconut
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Blend in milk and rum flavoring. Stir in flour, cherries and pecans.
    Form dough into 2 (8-inch) rolls.
    Roll dough in shredded coconut to coat.
    Wrap in wax paper and chill overnight.
    Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until golden.
    Makes 60 cookies (approximately).
