Dirt Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large (20 oz.) bag Oreo cookies
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    3 1/3 c. milk
    2 (3 1/2 oz. each) pkg. French vanilla instant pudding
    8 oz. frozen whipped topping
Preparation
    Crush the cookies in large plastic bag or in food processor. Cream the butter, sugar and cream cheese.
    In another bowl cream the milk, instant pudding and thawed whipped topping.
    Combine the two mixtures.
    Alternate layers of the mixture and the cookie crumbs, starting and ending with the cookie crumbs.
    Top with cherries, if desired.
    Chill.
