Red Cabbage With Wine And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. chunk salt pork
    1 c. onions, sliced
    1/2 c. carrots, thinly sliced
    1 red cabbage
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    2 c. apples, sliced
    2 garlic cloves, mashed
    1/4 tsp. bay leaf (ground)
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. red wine
    2 c. brown stock or bouillon
Preparation
    Cut salt pork into tiny cubes.
    Cook with onions and carrots for 10 minutes without browning.
    Stir in cabbage; cut into 1/2-inch slices.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Add and stir all remaining spices and ingredients.
    Place in covered casserole.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
