Cheddar Zucchini Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. zucchini, thinly sliced
    salt and pepper
    2 eggs, separated
    1 c. sour cream
    1 1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook zucchini until tender and drain.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
    Combine egg yolks, sour cream and flour. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into sour cream mixture.
    Place half the zucchini in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish.
    Top with half the sour cream mixture and half the cheese.
    Sprinkle crumbled bacon over cheese.
    Layer remaining zucchini, sour cream mixture and cheese.
    Melt butter and stir in crumbs.
    Sprinkle over cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
