Date Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 tsp. butter (heaping)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 lb. dates, cut up
2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts, cut up
Preparation

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.
Pour boiling water over dates, then add soda and cool.
Add date mixture alternately with flour.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 or 50 minutes.
Top with Caramel Frosting.
